Fight corrosion with Alvenius TP-pipe system.Alvenius light-weight steel pipe systems, internally and externally thermoplastic coated, combine the strength of steel and the resistance of thermoplastic to resist a wide variety of corrosive media. The TP-pipes are connected using Alvenius or Victaulic type quick-couplings or flanges which eliminate expensive welding. The TP-pipes are beeing used in applications such as leaching, process water, fire hydrant installations, potable and waste water and for highly corrosive media. Complete pipe systems are available for pressures up to 70 bar (1000 psi). Installation of TP-pipes in the Sahara Desert, Algeria. |
Alvenius pipe systems combine low weight with high pressures, offer excellent corrosion resistance and quick assembly. A cost effective piping solution which has been successfully applied for half a century within mining, civil engineering, snow making, irrigation and industry. NewsTP-pipes to Saudi Arabian Mining Co Ma'adenAlvenius recently supplied a gold mine in Saudi Arabia with another 1,2km of thermoplastic coated pipes DN300. Madeen made a first installation of TP-pipes in year 2002. The new pipes will, as well as the previous installed ones, be used for heap leaching with cyanide.
Boliden satisfied with backfill testing. In 2007 Boliden Garpenberg made a test using Alvenius TP-pipes for high pressure backfill. The test was successful and Boliden recently ordered plenty more pipes for this type of installations. Easy installation and handling together with an impressive durability were reasons for Boliden's decision.
TP-project to Nordkalk Oy Finland.Nordkalk decided to use Alvenius TP-pipes for their new water pipe installation. The mine uses the pipes for transportation of clean water from the mine to the nearby city of Lohja. The installation will be finished early 2008. Great demand for spirally welded sprinkler pipes.Alvenius roll grooved lightweight pipes has become the first choice for many sprinkler system fitters. Easy handling and low weight are the major reasons that many installation companies prefer Alvenius spirally welded pipes.
Alvenius TP-pipes at LKAB's new pelletizing plant KK4.In December 2005, LKAB took the decision for the biggest investment ever in the history of the company, an investment totalling 6.4 billion SEK. A great part of this investment is the new pelletizing plant KK4. KK4 will be the world's largest grate-kiln plant. The new plant is built near the existing processing plants and will be operational early 2008. During 2007 Alvenius delivered nearly 4500m of thermoplastic and galvanized pipes and fittings, dimensions covering from DN65 to DN400. The pipes will be used for the fire fighting system of KK4.
Another 58000 meters of TP-pipes for gold mines in Algeria. In 2006 Alvenius was awarded a first order for 44000m of thermoplastic coated steel pipes to Algerian goldmines. This installation was susscefull and mine owner ENOR recently ordered pipes for another 58000m. The deliveries for the second phase are scheduled to start by the end of 2007.
TP-pipes in fire fighting systems at Ringhals nuclear plant.Ringhals nuclear plant is currently busy with the completion of the FIMP project (Fire Protection Improvement Programme) on their four units R1-R4. In this project Alvenius has been awarded the contract for the supply of a big part of the pipe systems. Pipes and fittings are in- and outside thermoplastic coated. A large portion of the supply consists of prefabricated units, ready to be assembled with couplings and put into place on arrival at Ringhals.
