CorroFlo® (thermoplastic coating)

FlowMax® pipies with CorroFlo® coating have unbeatable low flow resistance, and thus contribute to low energy consumption in the piping system.

FlowMax® CorroFlo®-coated pipes are also ideal in environments where for example acidic water is a problem. 

Moreover, the CorroFlo® coating minimises the risk for build-up of deposits on the inside of the pipe.

in different RAL colours.

CorroFlo® (thermoplastic coating)

  • CorroFlo® coating – unique properties

    CorroFlo® coated pipes are ideal in environments where for example acidic water and aggressive chemicals are a problem. Tests have shown that CorroFlo®-coated pipes meet the requirements of the marine environment’s most demanding corrosivity classification C5-M.
    The surface treatment also minimises the build-up of deposits on the inside of the pipe.
    Independent tests show thatCorroFlo®-coated pipes have an expected life of at least 50 years – even in aggressive environments.
    Low pressure drop due to low inner friction.

  • As strong as steel. As resistant to corrosion as plastic.

    Alvenius CorroFlo®-treated steel pipe systems are coated inside and out with a specially adapted thermoplastic - “Performance polymer alloy”(CorroFlo®). The system combines the strength of steel with the superior corrosion resistance of plastic.
    CorroFlo® pipes are a cost effective choice in applications where, historically, stainless steel was considered to be the only alternative.

    CorroFlo® pipes are ideal in industries such as chemical engineering, pulp and paper, hydroelectric power, offshore, water treatment and mining. In these very corrosive environments, the CorroFlo® pipes’ powerful properties of resistance come into their own.

CorroFlo® + RocShield®

FlowMax® pipes with CorroFlo® coating can also be treated 
with RocShield® on the outside. 

This coating gives an even more durable outer surface.

HDG - Hot-dip galvanization

A very robust outer coating that is ideal for pipes that are to be frequently disassembled/assembled. 
In the event of damage, the zinc coating “heals” itself.

    HDG (Hot-Dip Galvanized) is an ideal surface coating for pipes that may need to be dismantled and reassembled as it provides a highly robust surface layer. Such pipes are highly resistant to impact, wear and harsh weather conditions. What’s more, the zinc layer “heals” if damaged.

    Hot-dip galvanization (HDG) gives deep protection. It is a type of electrochemical galvanization process in which the pipe is coated with a thin layer of zinc through electrolysis, to prevent corrosion.
    The chemical reaction causes the rust preventive layer to bite fast a little way into the steel itself – the coating thus becoming metallically bound to the steel.
